| Policy Context | When this poll was conducted in October 2024, only Arizona had a law requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote. In August 2024, the Supreme Court allowed the law to partially and temporarily be in effect during the November 2024 election season while legal challenges to the law proceeded in lower courts. |
