When this poll was conducted in July 2025, questions about enforcing the Supreme Court’s code of ethics had been ongoing since November 2023, when the Court adopted a code of ethics but without an enforcement mechanism. Congress then made attempts to impose an enforcement mechanism. None had passed as of the time the poll was conducted.
